About Us

A clean kitchen area with stainless steel surfaces and equipment. — Fredericksburg Elks Lodge 875
A clean kitchen area with stainless steel surfaces and equipment.

On Tidewater Trail in Fredericksburg, Lodge 875 has built something that a rating of 4.4 stars across nearly 100 reviews only begins to capture. Walk through the doors and you find a full dining hall, a proper ballroom, and rooms that welcome visiting Elks traveling from lodges across the country. This is a working lodge, not a museum piece.

Every November, members carry the POW/MIA flag through a Veterans Day ceremony that draws guests who leave calling it a privilege to witness. The Turkey Trot brings live music and laughter to the ballroom. RV travelers pulling off I-95 know to look for the 150-amp hookup and the water spigot around back. The lodge accommodates without making a fuss about it.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has championed community service since 1868, and Lodge 875 carries that charge seriously in the Fredericksburg area. From youth scholarships to veterans programs to local charitable giving, the work done here reaches far beyond these walls.

What We Offer

The lodge offers a dining hall that serves members and their guests, a spacious ballroom available for banquets, dances, and private events, and comfortable overnight lodging for visiting Elks members in good standing. The facility is equipped to handle everything from an intimate awards dinner to a full-scale community fundraiser.

For RV travelers, the property provides a 150-amp electrical hookup, water access, and grass parking that makes a solid overnight stop while visiting the Fredericksburg region. The staff is accommodating and unpretentious about it. Recurring events like the Turkey Trot and the annual Veterans Day service give the calendar a heartbeat year-round, drawing musicians, veterans groups, and families back through the doors season after season.

"I was honored to carry the POW/MIA flag in their annual Veterans Day service and was privileged to enjoy a tour of the facility. And a very nice facility it is to include a dining hall, ball room, lounge, game rooms, and kitchen all on a beautiful property."

"We stayed here a few nights visiting from another Lodge. There is 150 amp plug, there's a water spigot on the other side of the building and you are parking on grass at the one site. You can boondock in the parking lot, unsure the cost. The nightly cost was $25 for electricity. Plenty of space to maneuver a larger camper there."

"I took my mom there for the bingo experience. It was a bit chaotic. Most of the people running it were very friendly but very disorganized making for a less then desirable experience. The food selection was good but the person running the counter was less than attentive. Twice he called order numbers then disappeared in the back leaving us starting at the counter while missing our bingo game and our food getting cold. I finally received my food but never caught up on the game and by the time I did get the food it was cold. Such a disappointment for the price I paid - 6.00 for fries and 4 dollars for onion rings. At times games were started without any direct instruction for those that hadn't played before at this location. Several times the wrong number was called and things out of order. It really was a mess at times. At times it felt like a little closed click of people who knew each other and others ( new people) shut out. I paid more here for a new dobber than I ever had and it leaked big time half way through the evening - ink everywhere. Just not a great experience that I was expecting compared to other locations throughout the area."

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
